Bible in 90 Days (Week 3 Check-in)

OOPS!! I failed to post this on Monday.

Hope you are all doing well in your reading. This past week seemed easier for me. Not as much repetition or long lists of names.

Are you behind?? So behind that you feel like you can't catch up?? Don't feel defeated. You can just jump back in and take a little longer to finish. The most important thing is to KEEP READING. If you stop you will feel disappointed in yourself later.

Pray and ask the Lord to help you focus and to help you make it a priority. We all get busy (or sick) and feel overwhelmed. If it takes longer than 90 days it's no big deal. :) Just keep reading, just keep reading, just keep reading, reading, reading... ;)

Let me know you are still with me...

On My Mind

I have a lot of randomness going through my mind right now. This past week is a blur. Between my birthday, Blakes birthday, SCHOOL, reading my Bible every free second of the day, various meetings, & exercising I really don't remember much that happened. What I do know:

* My alarm is going to go off in 5 hours and 27 minutes so that I get up and get ready for church. Gonna be sleepy.

* Some people are real downers.

* I wish I could fix all of my friends' problems but I'm glad the Lord is in charge cause I'd probably mess up since I can't see the big picture.

* I'm really sad that Picnik is closing. :(

* Still not obsessed with Pinterest but I AM obsessed with searching for Spring Tea ideas on Pinterest and the rest of the internet

* I got Zumba for the Wii for my birthday and I have one of the songs stuck in my head.

* I don't want my kids to grow up. Even on the bad days (Thursday) I don't wish them away.

* I had a small mocha cafe at Tim Horton's this morning and my heart palpitations have been CRAZY most of the day.

* If you ever feel like you are a bad parent, or you don't know how to discipline, OR you YELL at your kids then you MUST read Teach Them Diligently by Lou Priolo. Chapter three is VERY helpful. There is hope for anyone out there who feels like they've failed in regards to parenting/discipline. Believe in the power of God's word.

* I know that they say copying is the sincerest form of flattery BUT I think it's annoying.

* I have several pregnant friends right now... a few of them secretly pregnant. I don't feel jealous at all. YAY!

* I am a great sinner and wish I could be a more Christlike wife, mother, & person.

* I really don't want to go to sleep.

* On Thursday I got my FIRST shower since September. Mike finished grouting the tiles in the bathtub on Wednesday night. It was the Best. Shower. Ever. (Mom- ;) lol) I'm really not a bath person. Waste of time.

* I'm afraid of dogs and I'm tired of searching my yard and the other yards on the street EVERY time I come or go for the pit bull two doors down who keeps getting loose. I think all pit bulls should be killed. (Uh oh. I'm sure I'll be in trouble for that one.)

* Whenever you see me write "Prayerfully pondering" on Facebook you'll know I'm having a rough day with my children. (Proverbs 15:28 ESV- The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.)

There's other stuff but I guess I should get to sleep. I finally had a chance to sit and turn on the computer and I just want to sit here and do nothing- or something- anything besides sleep. I'll regret it at 6:50am. Night, friends. ♥

Bible in 90 Days CHECK IN #2

Hello, friends. It's that time again.

How are you doing in your reading? Are you ahead, behind, on track? No guilt trips from any of us. This is a lot of reading and some times we get behind.

It pretty much takes me every free minute to get it done throughout the day. This is a big commitment but the Lord will honor it and He'll help us press on... even if it takes longer than 90 days.

If you are on track then today you should be reading Deuteronomy 23:12- Deuteronomy 34:12.

Leave a comment and let me know how you are doing!

10 on 10 January 2012

I decided to spice it up a bit and feature my children for their birth months. My middle child, Blake, will turn 8 in just 10 days so today he will be in the spotlight.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Blake got up before I was out of bed and did some school.

His breakfast of choice- half Honey Comb & half Apple Jacks.

Downstairs to the family room for a little video game time.

Back into bed for a few minutes cause he said he was tired.

Lunch time. Yummy tapioca pudding.

Over to Aunt Dawn's house to meet the new foster puppies.

Back home and showing some love to our oldest cat, Siam. Wanting him to know that Blake loves him more than that foster pup.

 Dinner. Strawberry yogurt.

A kiss and hug goodnight for me.

A special bed on the floor since he said he didn't feel good and needed to be closer to the bathroom.

My precious boy. ♥

Hello, friends. :)

Today is day 8 in our journey through the Bible. How are you doing?? Are you on track? Are you behind?

Please comment below so I can mark that you are still here for the journey.

Don't feel guilty if you aren't on track. I got behind on Friday and took two days to catch up. Also, remember we have those two grace days. Use them if you need to or just read extra.

Let me know if I can help you in any way. We are in this together. If you want extra prayer just let me know.

Don't forget to comment!!
