Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window... HOT & sunny. Beautiful day.

I am thinking... that my life is a mess- in a good way (blog post coming soon)

I am thankful for... the Holy Spirit

From the learning rooms... I finally decided I'd give Abigail piano lessons. I'm totally self taught and not the best but I'm good enough to teach a newby.

From the kitchen... trying my very first raspberry filling on a cake tonight.

I am wearing... clothes I haven't worn in 2 years- light blue denim shorts & a cream/green sleeveless shirt

I am creating... a chart to get my life un-messy

I am going... to load up the kids shortly to head up north and drop off some diapers for a diaper study I'm participating in for Delve Marketing Research.

I am reading... God's Word & all the books I said I've been reading the past 4-6 months. lol

I am hoping... that Mike's surgery goes well on Wednesday, that there are no complications, and that he heals quickly.

I am hearing... Abigail playing the piano, Blake's video game, & my YouTube playlist.

One of my favorite things.. singing with my sisters. WHEN will I ever be able to sing with them again? :( It's been so long. I also miss singing with my BFF Stephanie Hayes Sylvester-Johnson (remembering the times we sang in the laundry room in the girls dorm at MVNU) and also singing with another BFF Amy Ward Mathias. :) Great memories. Great friends. Super sisters. Singing together is so special.

Praying for... ME, Mike, my kids, Aunt Bonny (recovering from surgery), Sister-in-law Kathy (also recovering from surgery)

A Lyric or Two...
Came across this song recently and I love it. LOVE to sing along with it. Can't decide which part I like better. lol. Here's a video someone made to it. It's pretty cheesey so just listen to the song and ignore the video. Lyrics below so scroll down...

Think of Me - Mark Schultz & Rachel Lampa

Packing my bags this morning
Was the hardest thing to do
But packing my bags was so easy
Compared to standing outside your door right now
to say goodbye to you

Think of me
I know you've never seen me cry
Think of me
But it's so hard to say goodbye
Think of me
What can I say to show you
I'll never give up on you
I will be waiting for you

I will be there when you call
I will see you through it all
And even in your darkest hour
I pray that the Lord we found
Will set you on solid ground

I know that is feels like leaving
Is a part of letting go
But I'm praying with hope and believing
That I'll see you once again down this road
I hope that it won't be long

Think of me
I know God brought you as a friend
Think of me
I know He'll bring you back again
Think of me
What can I say to show you
I'll never give up on you
I will be waiting for you

Think of me
I know you've never seen me cry
Think if me
But it's so hard to say goodbye
Think of me
What can I say to show you
I'll never give up on you
I will be waiting for you

A verse to share: Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge. Proverbs 23:12

A few plans for the rest of the week: drop off diapers for diaper study @ Delve, make only 1 small cake w/ raspberry filling (excited), clean basement, take a few pics of things to list on craigslist, Mike's surgery Wednesday

A picture for thought... so sweet. Abigail & Chase dancing together. :)

Come on now... you know you want to do this too!!!

I made the blog! Yipee! :) I enjoyed singing with you as well, whether it be on Living Witness weekends, or a closing night at Bob Evans! ;)
