I have a t-shirt that I LOVE but with my weight loss it looks H U G E and I don't think I'll be able to wear it again. I couldn't let that happen so I searched online for a way to re-purpose or upcycle a shirt. I found a few sites that had great ideas and after putting a few of them together I came up with my plan.
First... the shirt:
The plan:
1. I cut off the sleeves first making sure I was on the sleeve side of the seam between the sleeve and the body of the shirt.
2.I cut up the sides of the shirt along the seams.
3. I laid the shirt flat and folded it in half length-wise matching up the sides.
3. I cut slit in the shirt (4 layers) to be tied later.
4. I tied the slits.
5. I took one of the sleeve pieces and cut it in half- length wise.
6. I tied the strip from the cut sleeve around the top of each shoulder.
These might be confusing directions so just look at the pics. I need to get to bed and don't feel like going back to make it clear. :)
Do you own shirts that are too big??? Don't let them go to waste. Get cutting!!! NO SEWING REQUIRED. :)
