Days 5-7 of 25 Days of Christmas 2011

DAY 5
Alison opened the card:

And it said (forgot to take a pic):
ORIGAMI SUNCATCHERS

Alison's face after reading it... she didn't know what it meant:

 Working hard:

Pretending to be extra excited while they waited for the next instruction:

Those marks on Chase's shirt are leftover sticker residue from a previous kid (probably Blake.)

It was dark when we finished so we hung them from the light in the kitchen instead.

DAY 6
Ethan opened the card:

And it said:

Acting like psychos!

Chase putting on the first ornament:

Lots of things wrong with this pic: Blake is SUPER SKINNY!! Ethan doesn't know how to match. Ali wears summer clothes to bed.

All done! (for now)

The star.

DAY 7
Abigail opened the card:

And it said:

Lots of MESS... I mean FUN!

Still have to paint the ornaments and add ribbon but they took 4 hours to bake. We'll do that another day.

I love it! You are making incredible memories. I need to do this. I don't know why I haven't. I have seen a couple neat ideas and I need to get on board. Next year maybe? :) Hold me accountable...will ya?! I have never had much luck with salt dough ornaments. I wonder what I always do wrong. Let me know if you have any good tips.

I'm laughing so hard because Ava is super skinny, doesn't know how to match AND wears summer clothes to bed. Hahaha! Even tonight, I sent her to bed in fleece pjs, & when I just checked on her, she was in a tank top. Love the stars. Do you have to use a special paper?

You amaze me every day, dear sister. And I love that you afford the kids these special moments makes me so happy. How blessed you are to have the Murphy 5 and moreso they are to have you & Mike. I love seeing the pictures and getting a peek into their excitement! Love you, so proud of you every day.
